Why do I need to complete this form?

As of 1 January 2019 the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 (AML) law comes into effect. The goal of the legislation is to make it more difficult to launder money through banks and other financial institutions or through property transactions. Because of the AML law, we need to gather information from you.

Privacy Waiver, release and limitation *
If CDD Outsourcing Limited is asked by a real estate agent to conduct CDD (“CDD”) on you as a vendor, lessor, or purchaser, of real estate, or for related services, we are required to collect and store personal information about you. This could extend to identification and other personal information relating to any trust or company you are involved in, including the source of funds or source of wealth for any trust. You authorise us to hold the information for those purposes, and also to be shared with our legal advisors who, may, in turn share it with the real estate agency working for you and the regulator of the AML/CFT legislation, and store such information themselves. The holder of your information under the AML/CFT legislation is required to store it for a minimum period of five years. You have the right to have access to the information and request corrections of it. You also hereby release CDD Outsourcing Limited and any of its agents, including its legal advisors, from any liability relating to the disclosure of your personal information and in the event that any of the aforementioned parties are found liable you agree that its maximum financial liability cannot exceed $250.00.
